The rooms also feature 3 ft thick lime plaster walls, hand-hewn stone nooks, and a hand-painted tent ceiling. Some rooms have sets of old, cloudy mirrors, recently restored.
The beds are either restored antiques or weathered grey stone.
The bathrooms are modern, the bed-linen is hand-printed on the softest cotton and the mattresses are excellent.
The brass water-tumblers are made by generational artisans.
Each bathroom has a TerraDry stone bathmat to aid with water conservation.
